An SUV was cut completely in half in a horrific single-car crash in Orlando early Thursday that left one dead and another injured.

Photos from the grisly scene show the severed vehicle in two mangled heaps across a roadway.

Orlando cops said the wreck happened around 3:15 a.m. on Colonial Drive and that one occupant died after being rushed to a local hospital.

According to WESH, the car jumped a curb, caromed off a building and smashed into a utility pole.

The condition of the passenger was not immediately available.

A construction worker who was present at a business near the scene said the impact was so violent that pieces of the vehicle flew through his window and broke it.

“All of the sudden I see my window broke and they are trying to figure out what happened,” Bill West told Click Orlando. “If it happened during the day, people could’ve been hurt in here.”

It took investigators roughly six hours to clear up the scene after the roadway was shut in both directions.

The investigation is continuing.
