A hundred beagles are finally about to find a home.

The last of the pups rescued from a Virginia breeding facility accused of mistreatment were flown into Maine this week and sent to nine shelters with hopes of families taking the adorable dogs in, according to reports.

The beagles were among 4,000 that were saved from the facility earlier this summer that intended to sell them to animal testing labs — which is legal — but were removed after the feds found them allegedly living in stomach-turning conditions.

The dogs landed in Portland Jetport Sunday in a Wings of Rescue plane, the Press-Herald reported.

“We’re really honored to play a part of these beagles’ final destinations to our state to find wonderful homes here,” said Jeana Roth of the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland, according to the newspaper.

Fourteen vans picked the beagles up after volunteers placed the crated dogs in rows on the tarmac to deliver them to shelters around the Pine Tree State, the Press Herald reported.

The dogs’ ages range from puppies to around 5-year-old.

Ric Browde, Wings of Rescue CEO and president, said the beagles would make great pets, citing their mostly quiet behavior on the plane that was treat-worthy.

“Whoever is lucky to adopt these pets wins the lottery, he told the Press Herald.

The effort is one of the largest canine rescue missions in US history.

“Four thousand dogs all at once in the course of six weeks, nothing like that has ever been undertaken,” said Katie Hansberry, Maine state director of the Humane Society of the US, according to 10 News.

Before families can grab up the dogs, they need to be quarantined for two weeks, the television station reported.
