Going strong? 90 Day Fiancé season 9 stars Emily Bieberly and Kobe Blaise are definitely bringing the drama season 9. It seems they clashed almost immediately after Kobe relocated from Cameroon, Africa to Emily’s hometown of Salina, Kansas, and they got into their biggest fight yet on the June 5 epiosode of the hit TLC series. But are Emily and Kobe still together now? Keep scrolling below to find out.
Kobe, 34, and the Kansas native first met in Xi’an, China, during a wild night out and conceived their son, Koban. Emily, 29, gave birth to her first child in July 2019 while she was still living in China. Shortly after, Emily and Koban returned back to Kansas without Kobe. Once the COVID pandemic hit, it delayed the Cameroon native’s visa by two years, leaving Emily to raise their son by herself.
“Daddy’s from Africa, mommy’s from America and Koban was made in China. I love my little family so much,” Emily captioned her August 2019 Instagram picture, first introducing her son to the internet.
“Aww. Made in China, hhmm I love this made in China,” Kobe said in the comments.
In her confessional on the season 9 premiere, Emily revealed that she was excited for Kobe to meet their son in person for the very first time but she was also nervous how he would receive her because she had gained weight throughout her pregnancy and looked different from the last time he saw her in China.
On an episode that aired earlier on season 9, Kobe made a negative comment about Emily’s appearance shortly after they reunited at the airport. After Emily almost drooled over how good she thought he looked, Kobe did anything but return the favor. “She’s changed. She’s gained weight, but it’s not about how she looks,” he said at the time.
Fans shamed father of one in the comments of the first look video posted by the official 90 Day Fiancé Instagram account. “Already started bad talking about her weight [thumbs down emoji] shame on him,” an Instagram user commented.
When meeting her family, one of Emily’s male family members told her she better not get pregnant with baby No. 2. It seems as if he may have spoken too soon because in a preview for the rest of the season, Kobe and Emily were seen waiting for the results of a pregnancy test while in a convenience store.
“I can’t even believe we are doing a pregnancy test right now,” she told Kobe while frantically opening a test kit.
As for whether Kobe and Emily are still together, there are some mixed signals coming from their Instagram accounts. In May, Kobe gushed over Emily in a sweet tribute for Mother’s Day. However, by June, the couple sparked split rumors when Kobe shared a cryptic comment under a post of his TikTok video, where he shared an inspirational message to fans about “knowing your value.”
“Know you’re worth and never feel bad to break a relationship or leave a place where you’re not appreciated,” he wrote via Instagram at the time. “Some people are in your life for a reason while others are there for a season and most of the times [sic], those seasonal people in your life will make you feel like you can’t survive without them. Remember, God does not only bless people financially, taking someone out of your life can also be a blessing. We move.”
