The gloves were off when it came to 90 Day Fiancé stars Angela Deem and Usman “SojaBoy” Umar‘s February 2022 social media feud — which sparked rumors that she split from her husband, Michael Ilesanmi

Angela and SojaBoy’s on and off camera feud actually first started in April 2021. At the time, they both appeared on an episode of the discovery+ spinoff 90 Day Bares All.

The Maury alum called SojaBoy a “scammer” for his marriage and divorce from ex Lisa “Baby Girl Lisa” Robinson (née Hamme), claiming he gave Nigerians a “bad name.” She also insulted his music, telling him, “You sound like s–t when you sing.” She also said that she and husband Michael were not “fans” of SojaBoy.

SojaBoy didn’t take kindly to the remarks, telling Angela she knew “nothing” and calling her names. “If you ask me a question, you have to shut that pig off so that you can hear me,” SojaBoy told 90 Day Bares All host Shaun Robinson. “She cannot be talking rubbish and you just keep me here.”

Nearly one year later, drama popped off again between Angela and SojaBoy and it involved Angela’s Nigerian husband, Michael, and rumors about the couple’s possible split.

Before joining the show, Michael and Angela had separate Instagram accounts. Once they made their debut, fans learned that Michael’s Instagram was a point of contention between him and Angela because Michael followed mostly women and would reply to their comments and Direct Messages. Angela didn’t trust Michael after he admitted to cheating on her early on in their long-distance relationship, so she had Michael deactivate his personal Instagram account and Angela turned her account into a joint Michael and Angela account.

However, Michael had reactivated his personal Instagram account and became active on it in January 2022. After that, Angela changed the joint account to a personal account as well. Fans noticed that Michael and Angela were not following each other on their personal accounts at the time.

After reactivating his personal account, Michael linked up with SojaBoy and they documented their February 2022 meetup on their respective Instagrams. When the Georgia native caught wind that her husband was hanging out with SojaBoy after their nasty spat nearly one  year prior, she took to her own Instagram to share her thoughts on their new friendship and it sparked a heated back and forth between the 90 Day Fiancé costars.

Little did fans know, their heated exchanges took place just as cameras started rolling for 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 5. Angela and Michael returned to the cast, along with SojaBoy and his long-distance love, Kimberly “Kim” Menzies.

While viewers watched as the drama over Michael’s Instagram account played out on his story line with Angela on season 5, neither Angela, Michael nor SojaBoy made any reference to each other or their social media fight on the show.
