You could win Monday night’s historic $1 billion Powerball with just a click of a button.

More and more of the tickets for the game are starting to be bought online — with the app Jackpocket responsible for about 15% of ticket sales in New York state for Powerball, since it began its current prize run in August.

“If you think of like Amazon and Black Friday, these jackpots are kind of our Black Friday’s,” said Peter Sullivan, the founder of the company, where ticket sales are up 54% since Oct. 12.

“Usually we get one or two every few months, but this one’s exciting since it’s coming off 37 consecutive Powerballs that have not been won.”

The app, which is available in New York and New Jersey, as well as 11 other states, has made it possible to win big without even leaving your home. Jackpocket is now responsible for 11% of all Powerball lottery ticket sales across the country, the company said.

Jackpot, as well as another betting company Lotto.com, are the only licensed lottery courier services by the New York Gaming Commission. They are run separately from the New York Lottery. Lotto.com’s market share was not available.

“I think we’ve all become accustomed to having that convenience at the palm of our hands,” Sullivan said.

According to Sullivan, the convenience goes beyond not having to stand in a line at a convenience store to purchase a ticket.

Forgetful gamblers will never have to worry about checking their ticket again.

“You buy your ticket, you see that nobody won and now it’s up to a billion dollars,” Sullivan said, noting that people then won’t check their tickets.

“So you know you didn’t win the jackpot, but a lot of people, turns out, will win 10, 20, 40 bucks,” Sullivan said. “What’s nice about the Jackpocket app is it gives you a push notification that you’ve won.”

App users can then decide if they want to withdraw the amount or put it into the next jackpot.

The app doesn’t take any portion of its user’s winnings, but it is a courier service meaning a service fee is charged when players fund their accounts.

While the odds of winning any number of the Powerball prizes are 1 in 24.9, the chances of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million, according to the organization.

Jackpot winners have the option of receiving their prize in a lump sum, which would amount to about $497 million in cash if won today, or as an annuity paid out over 30 years.

She might have dropped the baby, but Stassie Karanikolaou is still looking good! Kylie Jenner‘s best friend — otherwise known as Stassiebaby — has changed her now-iconic Instagram handle to reflect her full name, but that doesn’t mean the bikini photos are going to stop coming.

“I just felt like it was time to end the era. It was time for a new one,” Stassie, 24, explained on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast in April 2022 about the headline-making Instagram name change. “I’m not Stassie Baby anymore. Like, I’m not a baby, I’m a woman. I’m an entrepreneur. I want to be taken seriously.”

While she’s since become a successful businesswoman, Stassie was originally a well-known Instagram personality thanks to her iconic friendship with Kylie.

“You’ve been the most consistent and loyal friend in my life, and I feel like without you, I wouldn’t be the person I am today,” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum, 24, shared during a 2015 interview with Teen Vogue. “Because I wouldn’t be weird anymore. I’d be trying to be normal.”

Stassie, for her part, has also praised the makeup mogul on more than one occasion.

“I can’t even begin to describe how proud and happy I am for you,” the internet personality captioned an Instagram picture after Kylie’s first daughter, Stormi, was born in 2018. “I love you both so much and I’m excited for this new chapter in life. I can’t wait to spoil her and watch her grow.”

While Stassie is often featured in Kylie’s social media posts with her baby girl, the duo has also continued to travel the world on epic vacations together — which often result in some pretty amazing bikini pictures. Can someone say girl power?!

“Obviously never post photos where someone looks bad. Never go to an ex’s party without making sure we don’t care first,” Stassie told Bustle in 2021, sharing her rules for a long-term friendship. “Tell me if my makeup looks bad. [Or] If someone does something that upsets you, [don’t] just brush it off. Speak up and be like, ‘Hey, just so you know this hurt me a little bit.’”

She told the publication that “brutal honesty” is something she’s become accustomed to in friendships and is bringing it into her life online.

“I’m sitting in my bed crying, but I’m posting a photo of me on a beach,” Stassie told the site. “I’m not just a face and a body that everyone sees online. I have a lot of things that I deal with. … Now that I’m being open about [my past] I feel like I can just be myself.”

This may be the most blunt “Help wanted” ad of all time.

A business owner has offended some Pasadena, Texas, residents after hanging up a large banner on his property that reads: “Now hiring non-stupid people.”

Walter Parsons, owner of Pets Gone Wild Resort, bought the eye-catching sign after growing frustrated at some of the workers whom he had previously employed.

“We’re trying to weed out the people that do come in. We hired one last week that lasted three days,” Parsons told told KHOU 11.

While the unconventional tactic seems to have worked for Parsons, some locals have taken offense at the unconventional signage.

“What does it say to prior employees? ‘Oh, we think you’re stupid so we’re trying to hire somebody that we think is smarter than you’?” a Pasadena resident named Taylor told KHOU 11.

“The fact that they felt so emboldened to put something up there like that, it’s disgusting, it’s distasteful and it’s unprofessional,” Taylor said.

Despite the criticism, Parsons said that within 24 hours of putting up the terse banner, he found three applicants.

The pet daycare owner said previous staff were unmotivated, often paying closer attention to their cellphones than the pets they were being paid to look after.

“Repeatedly, ‘Get off your cellphone, you’ve got dogs to watch.’ ‘OK, put the cellphone up, go back out there.’ Twenty minutes later, she’s back on her cellphone,” Parsons said. “At least be as smart as I am.”

According to the business owner, it’s always been about finding the best possible employees.

“Come through here and take a tour and take a look at the responsibility that we have. Would you put your child somewhere that wasn’t dedicated, that didn’t have smart people in it?” Parsons said.

Parsons said he expected to take the sign down soon, seeing as it brought them better luck finding quality employees.

Cult-favorite clothing brand Sadire brings you a collection of brand new NFTs that harness satire to respond to current events, memes, and internet culture to comment on history as it impacts the present moment, and directs the future. The kicker? The Sad Times isn’t just any cultural commentary – this NFT uses Sheep to make a point.

So, what exactly is The Sad Times? It’s a project with short and long term goals, and a whole lot of satire. It’s also a collection of 5,000 professionally created, exclusively-released NFTs whose main character is an animated Sheep. Each NFT means ownership of a 1/1 piece of art, and with that ownership comes access to continually receive custom animated NFTs.

The Sheep are just like humans — with individualized characteristics that create rare combinations, these Sheep are all different. With distinct colors and professions, each Sheep is one-of-a-kind. Owning a Sheep grants you access to new unique NFT animations over time, and guess who’s the star of the film or art piece? Your Sheep.

Dan, the Founder and Creative Director of The Sad Times, has a history of creating cult-worthy art and clothing through his brand, Sadire. The brand has gained impressive status and has been featured in Vogue and worn by celebrities. Sadire isn’t afraid to talk about mental health and sadness, and brings it to the forefront of the conversation.

Providing an outlet for frustration and sadness through satire is the core mandate at Sadire, and also the inspiration behind The Sad Times project. Other contributing members of the project’s team include crypto and NFT insiders committed to the values at the core of The Sad Times — community and artistic expression for the benefit of mental health awareness.

The Sheep call attention to the fact that many people act like sheep in their everyday lives, and does so in a way that is equal parts satirical and serious.

Dan envisions a future where these Sheep are everywhere. He plans to expand the Sheep into a global brand that incorporates elements of music, community, tech, and more. Dan believes that this is only the beginning of a profound artistic revolution, and he sees NFTs as a space where he can create without limits.

The NFTs speak volumes due to their high-quality and innovative angle on both art and mental health. Not only that, but this project writes its own story. Alongside professional animation studio artists and driven by Sadire and Dan’s unique social commentary, The Sad Times offers a two-fold experience: it’s a brand-new NFT, but it’s also a unique long-term experience that will only continue to grow.

Everything You Need To Know About NFTs

Before purchasing your first NFT, it’s smart to get familiar with the basics of non-fungible tokens and how they work. Whether you’re new to digital artwork or a seasoned collector, the primer below can help you out.

What Are NFTs?

NFT stands for non-fungible token. Some of the most common NFTs are pieces of digital art like the Sad Times project, but an NFT doesn’t have to be a piece of artwork. Non-fungible tokens are one-of-a-kind digital assets that exist on a blockchain.

So, what’s a blockchain?

Blockchains Explained

A blockchain is a collection of data clusters that are securely stored within a network of computers. Blockchain technology is integral in the cryptocurrency world, and it’s also at the heart of every NFT.

There are numerous different blockchains out there, but the lovable sheep in the Sad Times collection were created using the Ethereum blockchain, best known for the cryptocurrency of the same name. Because the sheep exist on the blockchain, they are incredibly difficult to fabricate or steal. If you’re the owner of an NFT like one of the Sad Times sheep, it’s yours and no one else’s.

Blockchain technology is what makes NFTs so unique; they’re one-of-a-kind pieces of digital art that will never be created again. That’s why these tokens have such high value in collectors’ circles — they’re ultra-rare.

What Other Types of NFTs Are Out There?

The world of NFTs is vast, and its scope reaches far beyond digital artwork. NFTs can be everything from digital representations of physical objects to original manuscripts to tokens representing pieces of real estate. So, why are there so many different kinds of non-fungible tokens?

The reason that there is such a diverse market for NFTs is simple: blockchain technology is incredibly versatile. Creating blockchain-based artwork is one use for NFTs, but there’s more to them than that; since an NFT’s ownership status is impossible to fake, a digital token can be used to verify ownership of real-world assets. That means you might have an NFT that represents something that you own in the physical world.

How Do You Buy NFTs?

The best way to buy exciting new NFTs is to follow creators like Sadire, the minds behind The Sad Times NFTs. You can purchase NFTs directly from creators via marketplaces like OpenSea, a platform that can also be used to create new non-fungible tokens.

If you’re looking to build your NFT collection, make sure you budget for the hobby. NFTs can be expensive — just like any other form of artwork — but they can also be lucrative investments. Because of their inherent rarity, NFTs’ value often increases astronomically over time.

Get on the NFT Train

NFTs are just getting started, and the future is looking bright for blockchain-based art. The perfect place to start your collection is with a Sad Times sheep. This wildly creative NFT is designed as an ever-evolving art piece that has its own unique career and color scheme. Talk about one-of-a-kind artwork!

They may phone home, but it could be to Beijing.

That’s the assessment of a US intelligence report on UFOs, which attributes many military sightings of unknown flying craft to foreign surveillance drones or airborne waste, the New York Times reported.

The latest revelations are contained in a classified update to a report last year that investigated 144 UFO sightings by US government personnel between 2004 and 2021, sources told the newspaper. That update is expected to be given to Congress Monday.

The sources, who spoke to the Times on the condition of anonymity, said that several instances of unknown aerial phenomenon had indeed been attributed to relatively mundane drone technology used by the Chinese government.

Beijing, which is known to have stolen plans for next-generation fighter aircraft, is also keen to learn how US pilots are trained, the sources said.

Sue Gough, a spokeswoman for the Department of Defense, said, however, that no one explanation described the majority of the UFO sightings investigated.

Most incidents could be attributed to foreign intelligence gathering or shreds of airborne trash such as balloons, the sources said.

The Pentagon said in May that a particular, declassified incident involving what looked like flying triangles were actually ordinary drones distorted by night vision.

It’s unknown how much of the update, if any, will ever be made public.

And some sightings — particularly older ones — are unlikely to ever be explained.

“In many cases, observed phenomena are classified as ‘unidentified’ simply because sensors were not able to collect enough information to make a positive attribution,” Gough told the paper.

Roller-coaster romance. 90 Day Fiancé star Angela Deem had “the best makeup sex” with her husband, Michael Ilesanmi, following an explosive fight.

During the Sunday, October 30, episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?the couple got into a heated argument when Angela, 56, took a trip to Nigeria to visit Michael, 32. While their fight turned physical after Angela insisted he take down his Instagram account, she revealed they made up with some intimate time.

“You know, I hate how me and Michael fight, but I do believe we had the best makeup sex there is,” the TV personality said in a confessional. “Michael came in my room last night, he told me he was going to take his Instagram down today, which gave me hope that he wasn’t frauding me and wasn’t being an opportunist and he does love me.”

Michael also shared insight into how they made up. “Last night, when she left me at the restaurant, I couldn’t let the night end like that,” he said. “Despite all the shouting, you know, yelling, I miss my wife so much. And guess who got lucky last night? Myself.”

Cameras then documented the couple discussing the sex they had the night before. “You did it back to back, that’s not pretty good, that’s kinda like amazing, and awesome,” Angela told Michael. “Then you bit me .. I don’t know, when you were being a beast.”

“You know these pop,” she added about her breasts. “These are fake, Michael.”

Michael, who has been vocal about his concerns regarding Angela’s drastic weight loss, complimented his wife’s body. While Angela has complained Michael hasn’t been supportive of her weight loss in the past, she seemed happy with his comments.

He added, “The sex, too, is fantastic.”

“We have more positions,” Angela responded. “Now, when he lays on top of me, he can look down and see the c–chie, OK, just tell it like it is. I guess it turns the man on.”

After sharing the happy moment, their conversation turned sour when Michael admitted he didn’t plan to take down his Instagram account. The Nigeria native said he wanted to have his own income and hoped to make money through Instagram, though Angela shut down the idea because he had cheated on her via social media in the past.

She became extremely angry again and walked out of the room, stating that she believed Michael only used her for sex following the initial fight. “Prostitutes get more respect than what Michael gave me,” she said. “I have put up with so much in the last four years that I am tired, emotionally drained.”

Michael later suggested they both take their social media accounts down, though Angela argued she shouldn’t have to because she never cheated on him.

“If I don’t put my foot down, I’m never gonna have any say in this marriage,” he told cameras about the argument. “But at the same time, I still love her, and I still want the marriage to work. I just want to voice out my opinion, but that might not be possible because I mean, Angela do whatever she wants to do.”

The crazed man who allegedly broke into Nancy Pelosi’s home and attacked her husband with a hammer planned to kneecap the speaker of the House and hold her hostage, according to a sworn affidavit.

David DePape, 42, was slapped with federal charges Monday for the Friday morning attack — in which he broke into the Pelosis’ San Francisco mansion and fractured Paul Pelosi’s skull with a hammer.

“DePape stated that he was going to hold Nancy hostage and talk to her. If Nancy were to tell Depape the ‘truth,’ he would let her go, and if she ‘lied,’ he was going to break her kneecaps,” the document outlines based on a police interview with the alleged attacker.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi leaves the San Francisco home of her an husband Paul Pelosi, in San Francisco. Paul Pelosi, was attacked and severely beaten by an assailant with a hammer who broke into their San Francisco home early Friday, October 28, 2022.

The Justice Department charged DePape with attempted kidnapping andassault with intent to retaliate against a federal official by threatening or injuring a family member – charges which could carry a maximum sentence of up to 50 years in jail.

“DePape was prepared to detain and injure Speaker Pelosi when he entered the Pelosi residence in the early morning of October 28, 2022.

“DePape had zip ties, tape, rope, and at least one hammer with him that morning,” the document said.

In a later interview, officers noted DePape viewed Nancy as the “leader of the pack” of lies told by the Democratic Party.

He also claimed that breaking Nancy’s kneecaps would require her to be wheeled into Congress, showing other Members there were consequences to actions.

The affidavit described how DePape had broken into the Pelosi residence through a glass door at the rear of the house using a hammer and then gone upstairs, where he encountered Paul, who had been asleep at the time.

According to the affidavit, DePape said he was looking for Nancy Pelosi — who was then in Washington D.C.

DePape had intended to tie up Paul with zip ties, but he was able to move into a bathroom and place a 911 call.

Realizing this, DePape took Paul downstairs and they answered the door to San Francisco Police Department officers, both men struggling with the hammer.

Shortly after, DePape pulled the hammer away and hit Paul in the head with it, before being restrained and arrested by officers.

The California politician’s husband, 82, was brought to the hospital following the attack, and is still recovering there from him injuries. He told officers he had never met DePape before and had no idea who he was.

Nancy flew into San Franciso over the weekend and spent hours by her husband’s bedside on Sunday. She was then pictured leaving her home where the attack had taken place on Monday, accompanied by a security detail.

While Nancy recieves around-the-clock security wherever she is, businessman Paul is not afforded any federal protection when they are apart.

Officials also confirmed conspiracy theorist DePape had been living in a friend’s garage in Richmond, Calif. for approximately two years. A series of blog posts and social media accounts which he used to discuss his fringe and often racist views were taken down over the weekend.

DePape is also expected to be hit with a slew of state charges sometime this week.

While female actors have been doing full-frontal nude scenes in film for years, it’s rare that a male actor will do the same. But there’s a handful of stars who have bared it all by going full frontal in the name of art … and sometimes humor.

Bradley Cooper is the most recent A-lister to go nude for the sake of his craft. He called his scene in 2021’s Nightmare Alley “a big deal” during an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, as he’s seen fully naked from the front and side while in a bathtub, engaging in a sex act with actress Toni Collette‘s character.

“I remember reading in the script and thinking, ‘He’s a pickled punk in that bathtub and it’s to story. You have to do it,’” he recalled. “I can still remember that day just to be naked in front of the crew for six hours, and it was Toni Collette’s first day. It was just like, ‘Whoa.’ It was pretty heavy.”

The eight-time Oscar nominee said that he didn’t hesitate about baring it all for the scene “because there was nothing gratuitous about it. It was to story.”

Ewan McGregor has appeared full frontal so many times in films that he’s got all his peers beat. But as for showing his goods in films such as Trainspotting and Velvet Goldmine, “It’s all about life,” the actor told the U.K.’s Express in 2011, adding, “We’re naked at the end of the day, and we’re sometimes naked in the middle of the day if we’re lucky.”

Ben Affleck was given some sage advice from his Gone Girl director, David Fincher, when it came to his now infamous nude shower scene in 2014. “David said to me from the beginning, ‘This is a warts-and-all movie. It can have no vanity. You have to see the naked underbelly of this character. It’s gotta be like in Europe; they just don’t give a st about any of that stuff and they just play real people.’ [So] there is some brief, very brief nudity,” he told MTV News while promoting the film.

But his interviewer, Josh Horowitz, then snarked, “We’re selling this on the penis!” to which Ben replied, “The penis is in there!” He went on to joke, “It costs extra. It’s IMAX penis! You’ve gotta pay 15 bucks to see it in 3-D. It looks better in 3-D.”  But it came with a caveat, as Ben noted about how the temperature during filming might have affected his naked and exposed body. “It was a very cold set. It was freezing. It was subzero,” he added.

President Biden will propose a “windfall” tax on oil companies Monday for banking record profits amid elevated prices at the pump that have hurt Democrats badly in midterm election polling — though the proposal stands no chance of passing Congress soon.

Biden’s windfall tax proposal aims to shift blame for voters’ economic frustrations from the White House after the release of third-quarter earning reports showing major companies like Exxon and Chevron riding high as Americans struggle to fill their tanks.

Voters have given Biden poor marks on his management of the economy, dragging on Democrats going into the Nov. 8 polling.

The worst inflation since 1981 has caused the costs of food, transportation and housing to jump 8.2% over 12 months. The Federal Reserve’s interest rate hikes this year, meanwhile, have increased the costs of consumer borrowing, including for mortgages

The precise details of Biden’s plan are unclear. His intention to call for the special tax on corporate profits was reported by multiple news outlets.

Exxon, the largest US oil company, reported $19.7 billion in profits from July through September, up 10% from the second quarter of 2022. Chevron, the second-largest US oil company, reported $11.2 billion in profit, slightly less than in the company’s prior quarter.

Exxon said its third-quarter earnings were $5.3 billion higher than in the third quarter of 2021 “due to stronger industry refining margins, positive derivative mark-to-market effects and higher volumes.”

In the third quarter, Exxon spent $3.7 billion paying dividends to shareholders and $4.5 billion on buybacks that can increase stock value.

The average cost of a gallon of regular gas in the United States is $3.76, lower than all-time highs over $5 in June, but still up significantly from $3.40 at this time last year, according to AAA data.

Just 16% of voters said the economy is either “excellent” or “good” in a CNBC poll released this month and 59% said they expected a recession.

That poll found just 40% of voters approve of Biden’s handling of the economy, though that figure was up 10 percentage points from an abysmal 30% in July.

Fed up with a surge in shoplifting, a coalition of mostly Latino supermarket owners across the New York City area are raising $70,000 to back Republican gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin in the last days before the election, The Post has learned.

The group of 70 entrepreneurs — who operate supermarkets under banners including Foodtown, Keyfoods, Fine Fare, Bravo’s, C-Town and Met Foods — are donating $1,000 each to Zeldin at a fundraising event on Monday at Cafe Rubio in Corona, Queens.

The Long Island congressman’s promise to crack down on criminals who are looting grocery stores is resonating, said Nelson Eusebio, head of government relations for the National Supermarket Association, a trade group.

“These are Hispanic supermarket owners who have previously voted with the Democrats,” Eusebio told The Post. “But we are exhausted and need results.”

Top on the grocers’ wish list is holding shoplifters accountable for a rash of thefts, including reinstating bail for misdemeanors and felonies. New York passed a sweeping bail reform law in 2019 prohibiting cash bail for all but the most serious misdemeanors and felonies.

Grocers say that thieves have become increasingly violent.

“We are frustrated and tired of Democrats saying that bail reform has not affected crime negatively,” Carlos Collado, a registered Democrat who owns two Fine Fare supermarkets in the Bronx, told The Post. “We are seeing a different reality.”

Zeldin has promised if elected to declare a crime emergency in the Empire State and bypass Albany legislators by suspending state laws that limit cash bail, solitary confinement and how gunmen under age 18 can be tried in adult courts.

He has also said he would fire Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who has been criticized for being soft on crime. Gov. Kathy Hochul’s reps raised doubts about whether Zeldin’s crime emergency strategy is constitutional.

“The issue today is that shoplifting has turned violent,” Collado said. “That’s where this is going. We have had to rumble inside our stores because the [thieves] don’t have any fear.”

Collado himself faced a knife-wielding thief in one of his Bronx stores recently, he said.

Samuel Collado, the owner of a several Keyfood supermarkets in Queens who also is attending the fundraiser, said he is neither a Democrat or Republican.

“When you see essential businesses like pharmacies closing their doors because of crime, that’s an alert,” he told The Post. “We would like to see and hear about proposals that will address crime and policies on public safety.”

“Most of us have determined that Zeldin is speaking our language that he understands what we need,” Carlos Collado added.
